I work full-time as a strategic manager for a local authority, working within Adult Social Care and Health.I own 2 horses, my coloured Gelderlander Chester and my youngster Raymond aka WD Guard of Honour (Bodyguard Moorland x Brilliant x Jazz).
MY HORSES:
Chester:I am rather late to the dressage game, Chester being purchased to hunt, we soon realised he just did not have the brain to cope! He is not the most straightforward horse and he struggles, like a lot of Gelderlanders, with his anxiety however he is a real gentle soul and very much a one person horse. He is also extremely clever, unties everything, undoes doors and has been spotted utilising a branch to knock apples off the trees! He has taken quite a while to settle but with our fantastic trainers Emma Jablonski and Bobby Hayler-Wright we are out competing at Novice.
Raymond:Ray was purchased from the WD Stud in Perth, Scotland as a foal and they gave him a fantastic start with a great weaning program. He is, at rising two, a very different character to Chester, brave, into everything and is super affectionate with all. He will be starting his education this year with inland work, I am a huge advocate for the TRT method and I am hoping to get him out to some inland shows and possibly Futurity.
Two of my favourite things:
Snuggy Hoods products: Chester wears these most of the year as they not only keep him clean and competition ready, but also protect him from flys and sunburn.
TopSpec Feed: Which has been my feed choice for a number of years.
